How to become Drug Inspector in India

Who is Drug Inspector-Drug Inspector is the professional who is an expert and qualified to monitor the safety, utility, efficiency quality of a drug from its manufacturing till its sale at the retail shop

Eligibility-  Candidates who have done Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Science or Clinical Pharmacology or Micro-biology or Medicine or any other equivalent qualification with these specializations from a recognized university or institution can become Drug Inspector. For the Drug Inspector Job, the minimum Experience in the industry must be 1.5 Years. Students who have more experience will get first priority to get a job of Drug Inspector.

Duties of Drug Inspector-  A drug inspector has to perform a field duty in helping superior/drugs Inspectors in carrying out samples, enforcement... A medicine inspector has to help CDSCO (Central Drugs Standard Control Organization) officers with monitoring... The drug inspector has to carry out other duties as may be assigned to them under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act and Rules. Salary- The Average Salary for the Drug Inspector is 45,000. The salary can be up to 1,50,000. Drug Inspector of Every State has Different Salary. So it will be up to you where you are getting this Job.

Age Limit- The minimum age should be 21 Years and can up to 30 years. Older than 30 Year of Age may get this job by some of the Organisation. According to Govt. Policies, Reserved Category Candidates will get relaxation ion Age Limit.

Selection- The Selection of Candidates for the post of Drug Inspector is done on the basis of their Academic Results, Written Exam ( Pharmacy and General Knowledge)  and Interview.

Exam Syllabus- It is divided into Two Parts: 

1.) Pharmacy- (200 Marks, 100 Questions, Duration 2Hours)
2.) General Knowledge- (50 Marks, 50 Questions, Duration 1 Hour)
