This career after Pharm.D will be in most demand!

 Analytical Chemist after Pharm.D -

In 2008, the Government of India and Pharmacy council of India has decided to start a new pharmacy course for students. It was Pharm.D

But why Pharm.D is started so late in India as compared to other countries, it is because in India scope of Pharmacy is limited and to expand the Pharmacy sector it is necessary to start new courses to enroll more students to pursue pharmacy. The scope of pharmacy increases as time went off. After Pharm.D there are many options to choose like -

* Pharmacovigilance

* Medical writing

* Clinical data management

* Hospital pharmacy

* Drug Inspector

* Analytical Chemist

One can become an analytical chemist after B.Pharm or Pharm.D.

You should become an analytical chemist if you are interested in Bioanalysis, Forensic science, Environmental analysis, etc. Analytical chemists test the chemical composition of many different salts, compounds, drugs, and formulations.

We have studied that analytical chemistry is of two types -

1. Qualitative Analysis                                                                      2. Quantitative analysis

- Presence or absence of substance                                    - Estimation of a given substance

- Chromatography, sublimation                                             - Gravimetric, volumetric analysis

These processes are very crucial in the Pharmaceutical industry, analytical chemistry has a never-ending demand. but keep in mind that this work can also be difficult or time-consuming because of the difficult matrix.

As a fresher one can expect 2.5 lakh - 5 lakh per year. Analytical chemist generally works in the lab with the team to create reports on their results. The best example of analytical chemistry is COCA-COLA. The secret formula of Coca-cola can be determined using analytical chemistry but it is next to impossible to find out the recipe due to high sensitivity.

You can work in labs, pharmaceutical chemistry, and private research departments after studying analytical chemistry.

I hope you understand Analytical chemistry in this blog.
